Assignment:
In pairs, we were tasked with creating an event that directly addressed a societal issue of our choosing. This included extensive research of our selected issue, event ideation, developing promotional tactics, detailing a plan of action, and creating KPI's to measure success.
​
Assignment Edit In Light of COVID-19: Before being able to fully enact our plans and host our event, the widespread of the global pandemic and subsequent shift to online courses, made it necessary to complete this assignment "hypothetically". As such, our final deliverable included hypothetical situations of both a successful event and a failed event.

Be Flexible! Things can change in the blink of an eye.

COVID-19 greatly impacted the way this project was completed. Instead of dwelling in what we could not change, we made the most of what we could!​

It is really hard to predict what "might" happen.

Assessing the current state of your market and consumers is necessary in measuring and defining success. ​

Detailed plans are always beneficial, even if they need to be edited along the way.

Knowing what you're going to do and when you're going to do it, is vital to achieving your desired end result, especially when deadlines are involved.​

It is much easier to rework a plan in light of an unforeseen roadblock, when you already have a detailed plan in place.
